Delta Kappa was chartered on May 16, 1970 on the campus of Truman State University (then Northeast Missouri State University). Truman is located in Kirksville, Missouri; approx. 3 hours north of St. Louis and east of Kansas City. The founding line consisted of ten beautiful, determined and God fearing women:
